Unruhe und Wirrwarr oder doch Rhythmus und Ordnung? Wie ver\u00e4ndert sich das k\u00fcnstlerische Schaffen Taeuber-Arps in Zeiten der Krise?<\/em>
\nDiese Zeichnung der K\u00fcnstlerin sticht in unserer Auswahl deutlich heraus. Sie entstand im Jahr 1941, w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Weltkriegs, als Sophie Taeuber-Arp auf der Flucht vor den Nazis im franz\u00f6sischen Grasse unterkam. In ihren Werken aus dieser Zeit begegnen uns h\u00e4ufiger schwingende Linien \u2013 ganz im Gegensatz zu den dominanten, geometrischen Formen<\/a> der fr\u00fcheren Arbeiten. Diese Ver\u00e4nderung l\u00e4sst sich auf eine Materialknappheit zur\u00fcckf\u00fchren: Taeuber-Arp nutzte ab 1939\/1940 vor allem Blei- und Farbstifte (vgl. dazu auch Wilker 2021, S. 301). Viele ihrer fr\u00fcheren Werke entstanden vorwiegend in Gouache<\/a>.
\nDieses Werk weckt in mir die Frage nach den Gef\u00fchlen der K\u00fcnstlerin in dieser sicher sehr schweren Zeit. \u00bbG\u00e9om\u00e9trique et ondoyant, lignes\u00ab wirkt auf mich unruhig, fast schon hektisch. Ist hier vielleicht eine Gruppe brennender H\u00e4user dargestellt?
\nFr\u00fchere Arbeiten Taeuber-Arps beeindrucken durch eine durchdachte Planung und Ordnung. Geometrische Formen<\/a> werden im \u0152uvre wiederholt, winden sich wie ein \u00bbroter Faden\u00ab durch viele Werke der K\u00fcnstlerin. Durch die sich wiederholende Bildelemente entstehen oftmals rhythmisierte Abfolgen. Dies l\u00e4sst auf Taeuber-Arps Leidenschaft zum Tanz<\/a> r\u00fcckschlie\u00dfen.
\nFinden wir die, f\u00fcr Taeuber-Arp typischen, Elemente auch in dieser Zeichnung wieder? Die Dreiecke und Linien wiederholen sich, erscheinen wie auf das Blatt gestempelt. Wenn man sucht, entdeckt man auch hier einen Rhythmus<\/a>! Die geschwungenen Linien erzeugen eine gewisse Dynamik \u2013 sie wirken wie die Bewegungen von tanzenden F\u00fc\u00dfen.
\nDer \u00bbrote Faden\u00ab ist hier Bild geworden und taucht gleich mehrmals in Linienform auf. Die Farbe Rot<\/a> hat offenbar gro\u00dfe Bedeutung f\u00fcr Sophie Taeuber-Arp und sie findet sich auch hier, in einem ihrer sp\u00e4teren Werke.<\/p>\n
